The forward/back, expand/collapse (facing down or up) arrow ‘❯’: In File Explorer this symbol is seen on the left of a folder (if there are sub folders) or word such as ‘Recents’. When pointing right it is compressed and when pointing down it is expanded. e.g. When pointing down, ‘Recents’ will show recently opened files and Folders in the navigation bar will show sub folders. For ribbons you can choose between classic or simplified by clicking on the down arrow
