Turn on: Wait for first screen to set language and keyboard

Connect to internet: This can be via WiFi with the password or Ethernet by plugging in the ethernet cable from the PC to the router

Accept Windows License Agreement: Scroll down then click ‘Agree’

Sign in with Microsoft account: Have the email address and password plus a mobile phone for verification

Work through all the questions that come up: Read each carefully and explain what is being asked so that the student can decide which option suits them. There will be the option to register the PC with the manufacturer and this is recommended. When complete there will be a notice to wait and the PC should restart. Complete Ease of Use recommendations and go to Settings ❯ Windows Update ❯ Check for updates

Set display scale to 125% or 150%: Text will be easier to read (as required). Go to Settings ❯ System ❯ Display then Scale and layout
