Set up scanner

Prepare area for scanner: open box, remove contents and packaging tape. Read through instructions and follow them. i.e. Connect printer to power, add cartridges and connect to Wifi. Add details to Tomtie Toolkit.

Connect scanner to Windows 11 PC via WiFi: Settings ❯ Bluetooth and Devices ❯ Printers and scanners ❯ Add device – search for printers then click on the new one

Connect scanner to Windows 10 PC via WiFi: Settings ❯ Devices ❯ Printers and scanners ❯ Add a printer or scanner – search for printers then click on the new one

Connect scanner to a Mac computer via WiFi: System Settings/System Preferences ❯ Printers and scanners then click the ‘+’ then the new one

Download and install scanner software (for more print options): Search manufacturer’s website for the printer e.g. ‘hp colour laserjet pro m283fdw’ then download and install the relevant software. Test printer by printing an email or other file
