Open Settings (click on cog icon – top right) ❯ More Settings ❯ Viewing email ❯ scroll down to ‘Show images in messages’ and select ‘Always, except in Spam folder’. Changes are saved automatically
Click ‘Compose’, add one or more email addresses in ‘To’ field and a clearly worded subject in ‘Subject’. Add line breaks as you type the text so the message is easy to read. Add stationery for fun ❯ click on the stationery card icon (with heart on it) in tool bar at bottom ❯ choose one. Read over the message then click ‘Send’
Open email and click Reply or Reply all. – click in the Subject area then add and/or delete text. For long emails, reply within the received email in a different font and font colour so it is easier to follow. Once you have typed some text, select it and format it using the formating options in the tool bar below. Read over the message then click ‘Send’
Open email and click Forward. Add one or more email addresses in the ‘To’ field. Change subject if useful – click on arrow before ‘To’ then ‘Edit subject’ and add and/or delete text. Try out formatting options in the bottom toolbar
Click on ‘Compose’ then click on the paperclip icon next to ‘Sent’ and choose from one of the options e.g. ‘Attach files from computer’ then browse to the file you wish to attach
Click on ‘Compose’ then then copy a photo (e.g. right click on a photo in Google Photos and click ‘Copy image’) then click in the text area of the new email and right click to paste (this works for emails where you have added stationery)
Click on ‘Compose’ then click on the link icon in the formatting tool bar ❯ type the website address (URL) and the name of the website in ‘text’ then click ‘Save’. To paste copy the URL from the address bar (click to select then right click to see ‘copy’ and click ‘copy’ or use the keyboard shortcut – Ctrl + C, or Command + C) then paste it in the body of the email (Ctrl + V, or Command + V)
