Sonoma Ease of use Setting – General

Name of Mac (having a clear name is important for iCloud): System Settings ❯ General ❯ About ❯ Name – type where it shows the current name

Screen resolution (make text and objects larger so easier to see): Open System Settings ❯ Displays. For desktop computers’ primary display or an external display you will see a thumbnail view of available resolutions – choose one

Show scroll bars (so you know there is more to see): System Settings ❯ Appearance ‘Show scroll bars’ – Always

Keyboard access (instead of always using a mouse or trackpad): System Settings ❯ Accessibility ❯ Motor ❯ Keyboard and turn on ‘Full Keyboard Access’ (quickly show the Full Keyboard Access shortcuts by pressing Tab-H, then using the arrow keys to navigate the lists)

Dock – Sonoma: System Settings ❯ Desktop and Dock in sidebar and change the options. Tip: to quickly adjust the Dock’s size, move the pointer over the separator line in the Dock until a double arrow appears then click and drag the pointer up or down

Status menus – Sonoma: towards the end of the menu bar you can see WiFi and MacBook battery charge. Rearrange status menus – press and hold Command key and drag an icon to a new position or to remove, drag out of menu bar
