List of useful human interface elements: Quick settings, Notification Panel, Quick Actions menu (touch and hold)
Quick settings: Where your most useful settings are quick to see – swipe down on a Home Screen to reveal the top line of Quick settings (and notifications), swipe down again to see all Quick settings including the power icon to restart and fix problems. To turn a setting on or off, tap it once. Dimmed icons are off. To see detailed options, touch and hold the icon
Notification panel: A list of recent notifications accessed by swiping your finger down on a Home Screen. It is also accessible by swiping down from the top in an application. Tap on an individual notification to open, or touch and hold to see options, swipe left to remove it. To remove all notifications tap the ‘Clear’ button. Tip – go to Settings ❯ Notifications ❯ App notifications then tap on the app to set it to ‘Silent’ instead of ‘Allow sound and vibration’
