Old System Preferences for MacOS Monterey (version 12) and earlier

Settings Search – Monterey 12: Type what you are looking to change and if it is in Settings it will appear

Apple ID – Monterey 12: Manage your Apple ID – change your account name and photo, contact information, password and security settings, select the iCloud features you want to use, manage iCloud storage and set up iCloud+ features, review and manage the trusted devices that use your Apple ID and more

Bluetooth – Monterey 12: Use Bluetooth settings to connect to other Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth lets you make short-range wireless connections (up to 10 metres) between your Mac and devices such as mobile phones and peripherals

Network – Monterey 12: A network location is a group of settings for a specific network port (your computer’s Ethernet port, modem port or wireless networking port, for example). The Location menu in Network Preferences lets you save and quickly switch between multiple network locations

Notifications – Monterey 12: Use Notifications settings to specify when you don’t want to be disturbed by notifications and to control how notifications are shown in Notification Centre

Software Update – Monterey 12: Use Software Update preferences to update your macOS software and set whether your Mac checks for and downloads new updates automatically

Sound – Monterey 12: Use Sound settings to change sound effects, adjust the volume and select a different sound input or output device

Siri – Monterey 12: Use Siri settings to choose a language and voice, turn voice feedback on or off, and manage which apps show Siri Suggestions based on how you use the app. Use Spotlight settings to change the categories that appear in Spotlight search results and exclude specific folders or disks from Spotlight searches

Desktop and Screen Saver – Monterey 12: Change the appearance of the Dock and select items to show in the menu bar and in Control Centre

Date and Time – Monterey 12: Set or change the date and time on your Mac

Security and Privacy: Manage the information your Mac makes available to others across the internet or on a network

Sidecar – Monterey 12: With Sidecar, you can use your iPad in landscape orientation as a second display for your Mac

Sharing – Monterey 12: You can’t have both Screen Sharing and Remote Management on at the same time

General – Monterey 12: Use click Software Update on the right to update your macOS software and set whether your Mac checks for and downloads new updates automatically

Screen Time – Monterey 12: Set time limits for apps and websites for yourself or your children

Family Sharing – Monterey 12: Turn on Family Sharing and add family members. (you and up to five other family members can share subscriptions to Apple services)

For each account, you can select the account features you want to use, such as Mail, Contacts, Calendar and more

Mouse – Monterey 12: Change the way your mouse responds as you move it so you can work more comfortably – mouse tracking, double-click and scrolling speeds can be adjusted

Startup Disk – Monterey 12: Startup Disk settings to change your startup disk. You can start up your Mac from a network volume, a different disk or another operating system
